she can hear and feel the anger in his voice as it vibrates off the
floor where she stood, it runs up her legs and to the very tip of
her spine. everything he was feeling, she felt too. the aching
grief combined with anger, the need for revenge. the weight of
it all has settled in the pit of her stomach and it makes her feel
sick, something she’s unable to simply heal from. it takes little
effort to push it aside so that she could focus on isaac, the very
last of her former pack.
she wouldn’t fail him like she had everyone else.
lips purse together as features form a look of concern, she won’t
say it out loud, but she’s worried about him.
in one swift movement she’s sitting on the floor beside him, leaning
back against her arms as they support her weight. despite how eager
they both were to feel closure, to break free from the alpha pack, it
would be stupid to retaliate out of pure anger. like isaac said, they
needed to sit, wait and plan. with a subtle tilt of her head she’s looking
at him, almost as if she’s waiting for something to happen.
