she knows that it’ll only be a matter of time before he obtains
the information he’s after, that’s how it always was with him,
and that she could never keep anything from him no matter
how trivial. so for now she’ll take advantage of his cluelessness
and enjoy dinner.
as he rises so does she, sparing a death glare in his direction
before retreating upstairs to clean away at her marred flesh and
exchange shirts.
he was right —- she did smell of blood and sweat.
she’s back downstairs and at her brother’s side within a matter
of minutes, gathering two plate sets as he finishes preparing
dinner. his comment causes brows to furrow as she leans back
toward him, jabbing her elbow into the side of his ribs.
‘ no, they won’t! ‘ her tone rises slightly in defense.
‘ —- you’ve got me all to yourself tonight. ‘
